Waiting for fall

Waking up this morning I could almost believe it was fall. Mostly, I think, because the folks upstairs have the a.c. cranked and it's down right cold in my apartment. It also helps that it is gray and gloomy thanks to the monsterous Gustav who will soon be making landfall. I honestly didn't think we'd get anything from this storm, but now it looks like we might get at least a sprinkle. I don't wish the fate of hurricanes on anyone, especially poor New Orleans, but I sure do like the rain they bring us. Along with the rain comes cooling temps. A relief from the brutal summer heat and humidity which we probably have another month or two left of. Sady I don't expect it to cool down and be fall here in Atlanta anytime soon. But I am looking forward to fall. i am envious of my sister who lives in a clime where they can open their windows at night already. Actually she said they had 'em open during the day also. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and I don't want to shop for warm weather work clothes. I want o buy cute fall outfits. Things you can wear with boots and hats. Like the cute fedora I got a few weekends ago at Target.
